About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY : Med/Surge Float RNs provide 24/7 clinical excellence for med/surge areas. Nurses must be flexible and versatile. The Float Pool provides a clinical overview that is unparalleled in any other med/surge area. Position : Registered Nurse Float Pool Department : MS Float Pool Schedule: Part Time JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues Update and manage patient records Enter and interpret computerized data/information Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION : Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years CERTIFCATIONS, LICENSURES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 1+ years of RN experience preferred Certification in basic life support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life support ( ACLS) completed during orientation . PCC Certification within 1 year of hire which is offered by the hospital. EXPERIENCE: Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification for certain practice areas Effective verbal and written communication skills Physical ability to meet job responsibilities Basic computer proficiency Fluency in another language a plus Compensation Range: $39.02- $90.05 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. Requirements

Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
1+ years of RN experience preferred
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life support ( ACLS) completed during orientation
PCC Certification within 1 year of hire which is offered by the hospital.
