Each shift, you'll adapt quickly to new environments while ensuring safe, compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include:
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association required; ACLS preferred
- 2+ years of nursing experience preferred
- Recent acute Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care and making informed nursing judgments in diverse clinical settings
- Systematically assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and evaluating outcomes
- Coordinating care and directing assistive personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and timely care
- Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care
- Acting as a patient advocate by building trust, maintaining respect, and effectively communicating with patients and families
- Assisting with specialized therapies and monitoring patients recovering from procedures, anesthesia, or moderate sedation
- Demonstrating ongoing professional growth through continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and unit-based competencies
- Maintaining adherence to infection control standards, safety regulations, and BID Milton's policies and procedures
