This judgment and skill are based on knowledge of the natural, behavioral and nursing sciences and humanities as the basis for application of the nursing process in wellness and illness care. The RN works throughout the hospital(s), floating to a variety of nursing units to assist in staffing clinical nursing positions, and is available for assignment on an ad hoc basis. The RN adapts quickly to a wide range of nursing unit protocols and patient populations while demonstrating the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care across diverse healthcare settings. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Nursing- RN
2 years Acute care environment
2 years General nursing or clinical practice Patient care environment
Flexible and versatile in meeting changing staffing demands.
Adjusts quickly to varying nursing unit protocols and procedures when assigned to unfamiliar work environments.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively navigate diverse clinical situations.
Easily integrates into existing team dynamics to support optimal care delivery.
Available to work a flexible schedule according to agreed commitment level.
Must be able to travel independently to assigned locations.
Applies nursing knowledge and skills, and maintains clinical competencies as required to float to various nursing units.
Analytical skills necessary to assess complex patient conditions effectively and to develop comprehensive plans of care.
Synthesizes multiple sources of information to assist in the resolution of human responses to complex problems.
Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts and techniques, which are central to the nursing profession.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association - must be obtained before starting unit orientation
Registered Nurse - Tennessee Board of Nursing OR Registered Nurse - Mississippi Board of Nursing
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - American Heart Association - specialty may be required after start
Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association - specialty may be required after start
