About The Position

We're looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Medical/Surgical team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center. As part of our dedicated care team, you'll provide safe, patient-centered care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where your skills truly matter. Job Overview: Provides direct patient care; demonstrates the knowledge, critical thinking and judgment of and integrates the use of evidence-based outcomes for Nursing practice; supervises care delivered; coordinates plan of care; provides education for patients, families and staff; and collaborates with other disciplines. Provides first and second assistance for the attending surgeon during indicated surgical procedures.

Requirements

Associate's degree - Required
Completion of a Certified Operating Room First Assistant Course
Minimum of three in a OR years relevant exp.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois - Required
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Required
Current AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification - Required

Nice To Haves

AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
CNOR Certification
