About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides planned, skilled nursing care for patients in the preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative periods. The RN provides assessment, patient surveillance, and timely administration of physician’s orders to prepare patients for procedures. The RN provides continuous patient surveillance for early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications that may arise in any postoperative patient and determine that the patient is suitable for discharge. The RN provides patient and family member with an additional opportunity for education and review of the postoperative instructions.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, required
Current state licensure, required
ACLS Certified
IVCS Certified
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Highly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regards to time management
Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs
