About The Position

The Registered Nurse Employee Health Coordinator at Intermountain Health is responsible for overseeing the Employee Health function, implementing and maintaining programs that promote injury prevention and provide care for employees. This role involves collaboration with leadership to develop health policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, while also providing education and support to staff regarding employee health matters.

Requirements

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (to be obtained within three years of hire or promotion).

Nice To Haves

• COHN and/or Case Management certifications from ABOHN.
• Experience in Employee/Occupational Health.
• Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Employee Health function and implement programs for injury prevention.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement employee health policies and procedures.
• Monitor employee medical fitness for duty and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Represent Employee Health in various settings and provide education to staff.
• Evaluate occupational illnesses and injuries, ensuring compliance with occupational health standards.
• Coordinate employee health and hazard surveillance activities.
• Provide and track preventative occupational health services to employees.
• Coordinate the process for evaluating employee readiness to return to work.
• Track and report employee communicable diseases, injuries, and exposures.
• Support injury prevention and loss control activities as requested.
