About The Position
Boulder City Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This position provides professional nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a supportive community hospital environment. The Emergency Department RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals experiencing acute and emergency medical conditions. The RN works in a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs.
Requirements
- Current Nevada RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- ACLS and PALS preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
- Perform patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring of patient status
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Respond appropriately in high-pressure and emergent situations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Educate patients and families regarding care, discharge instructions, and follow-up
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and emotional support at all times
