About The Position

St. Anthony Hospital, located in Lakewood, Colorado, is a Level I Trauma Center offering a full range of medical specialties and healthcare services. It serves as the home base for Flight For Life Colorado and achieved Magnet designation in 2023, along with numerous other awards and accreditations. The Emergency Department is a verified American College of Surgeons’ Level I Trauma Center, a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a cardiac receiving center. It is a high-volume ED with 46 beds, handling approximately 58,000 visits per year, including about 1,000 patients transported by Flight for Life® Colorado. The department is recognized as a Premier Level I ED and an Emergency Services Association Lantern Award recipient, attracting top talent as an exemplary model department. The hospital seeks candidates who demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities, collaboration, flexibility, and servant leadership to foster a warm and caring environment.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates
• One year RN ED experience
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred for experienced RNs

Responsibilities

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Benefits

• Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus (must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible).
