About The Position
We have a new need for a Registered Nurse - Emergency Room at the Naval Hospital in Twentynine Palms, California. Job Specific Position Duties: This position will support the Emergency Room. Core duties include, but are not limited to the following: Core Duties : Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the facility. Perform physical exam and health histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. Perform nursing services identified in the unit. Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes. Work Schedule: Services shall be performed Sunday - Saturday, for 13 hours to include a one hour meal break: Days: between 6am and 6:30pm Evenings: between 10am and 10:30pm Nights: between 6pm and 6:30am
Requirements
- Education: Associates Degree in Nursing. Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of recent post-grad clinical full-time experience within the last two years as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any state.
- Life Support Certification: Maintain current BLS/ACLS/PALS from American Red Cross or American Health Association.
- Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
