This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, working nights. The role requires critical knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for patients needing complex assessment and therapies, high-intensity interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. The nurse must anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, identify and prioritize information for immediate, evidence-based action, and monitor specialized equipment. Responsibilities include responding to life-saving situations, observing and assessing patient conditions, developing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient progress. The nurse acts as a patient and family advocate, demonstrates advanced knowledge appropriate to patient age, and may serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician. The role involves documenting patient care, demonstrating competency in nursing skills, prioritizing care, problem identification and resolution, and delegating tasks. The nurse is expected to maintain professional conduct, respect diversity, and comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
