Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
Registered Nurse in US State or Territory
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
One (1) year of Emergency Room experience, as a Registered Nurse, within the last three (3) years.

Responsibilities

Provide age-specific inpatient and emergency care in accordance with SOPs, provider orders, and hospital/TJC standards.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, history, and behavioral health evaluations.
Administer medications, including critical care IV drugs, immunizations, and conscious/moderate sedation; monitor effects and apply reversal agents when needed.
Execute a wide range of clinical procedures, such as phlebotomy, wound care, culture collection, EKGs, IV access (PICC, ports, etc.), and airway management.
Support emergency response efforts, including CODE participation, cardiopulmonary arrest, and neonatal resuscitation.
Operate and monitor specialized equipment, including ventilators, BEAR Hugger, Rapid Infuser, Fluid Warmer, and glucose monitors.
Conduct point-of-care testing (e.g., urine HCG, ISTAT, blood gases) and assist with pelvic exams, sterile procedures, and patient isolation protocols.
Document care and manage patient flow using EMR/EHS systems; assist with appointment setting and front desk tasks as needed.
Maintain clinic readiness, including room setup, specimen handling, equipment cleaning, supply management, and waste disposal.
Complete all mandatory trainings, maintain a competency file, and coordinate with Providers, COR, and leadership on patient care and clinic operations.
Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
