About The Position

EliteCare Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to patient-centered practices.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Washington State.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC are required; TNCC is preferred.
• Prior experience in an ER setting is highly preferred; charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Meditech software is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle diverse patient populations with various diagnoses such as extremity injuries, abdominal pain, shortness of breath (SOB), sepsis, and chest pain.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to an average of 45-55 patients per day in the Emergency Department (ED).
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, with flexibility to adjust to 1:4 as needed.
• Perform bedside procedures with sedation and manage various emergency situations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and mid-level providers, to deliver optimal patient care.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret cardiac telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and manage common drips including Norepinephrine, Levophed, Cardizem, Heparin, Precedex, and Propofol.
• Assist in transport of patients to diagnostic imaging services (X-Ray/CT) as needed.
