About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a high-acuity Emergency Department in Salem, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, clinically advanced environment where patient care excellence, teamwork, and professional growth are top priorities. This position is ideal for experienced ER RNs as well as strong Med-Surg RNs who are open to cross-training for night shifts .

Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license eligible for Virginia
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience in an acute care setting
• Med-Surg RNs considered for cross-training (night shift only)

Nice To Haves

• BSN or active enrollment in a BSN program
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency care environment

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and treatment of patients across all age groups and acuity levels
• Deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered emergency nursing care
• Manage multiple patients simultaneously while prioritizing care based on acuity
• Respond effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Coordinate discharge planning, follow-up care, and referrals
• Document patient care accurately and in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
