About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. The Registered Nurse collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. They support the organization’s vision and mission, and utilize knowledge of patient’s developmental age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient and family-centered care. The position also contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

  • At least one year experience required (for Part Time, PRN, Contract, and Travelers)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or Compact Licensure
  • BLS Certification (by Unit Departments Upon Hire)
  • ACLS Certification (by Unit Departments Upon Hire)
  • PALS Certification (by Unit Departments Upon Hire)
  • TNCC Certification (by Unit Departments Upon Hire)
  • ENPC Certification (by Unit Departments Upon Hire)
  • NRP required within 12 months (for Emergency Dept. RNs)
  • STABLE required within 18 months (for Emergency Dept. RNs)
  • Associate degree in Nursing required
  • Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
  • Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes
  • Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions
