In the Emergency Department at Frankfort, nurses care for patients of all ages in a 10-bed unit with a 5/6 to one nurse/patient ratio, supported by a house supervisor. Patient care includes those requiring IV medication drips, stroke patients, calling and running codes, and orthopedics. The unit has achieved Pathway designation and high patient experience scores, characterized by a unified team culture. Nurses will gain a variety of skills that aid patients at the beginning, throughout, and end of life care.

Requirements

• 1 year RN experience
• An Associates of Nursing (ASN)
• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
