In the ED at Frankfort, we care for patients that range from all ages. Our 10 bed unit has a 5/6 to one nurse/patient ratio along with a house supervisor that assists our team. Our nurses care for patients including those that require IV medication drips, stroke patients, calling and running codes, orthopedics, etc.

Nursing skills gained:

A variety of skills that aid patients at beginning, throughout, and end of life care

Our unit has successful Pathway designation,
Patient experience score in the high 70’s

Requirements

• Requires 1 year RN experience.
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
