In the ED at Frankfort, we care for patients that range from all ages. Our 10 bed unit has a 5/6 to one nurse/patient ratio along with a house supervisor that assists our team. Our nurses care for patients including those that require IV medication drips, stroke patients, calling and running codes, orthopedics, etc. Nursing skills gained: A variety of skills that aid patients at beginning, throughout, and end of life care Unit success/designations: Our unit has successful Pathway designation, Patient experience score in the high 70’s Unit culture/highlights: Unified team Indiana University Health is Indiana’s most comprehensive health system, with 15 hospitals and nearly 40,000 team members serving Hoosiers across the state.
