About The Position

Boulder City Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This role provides professional nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Current Nevada RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience preferred
• Current BLS required (ACLS and PALS preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under sustained pressure and during stressful situations
• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12-hour shifts
• Ability to lift, reposition, and transfer patients safely
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

Nice To Haves

• ACLS and PALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other healthcare disciplines
• Respond effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced situations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and emotional support at all times
