About The Position

Oneida Health is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work Third shift in our Hospital Emergency Department (ER). This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as part of a team while being able to remain calm in a high-pressure environment. Nurses' Union Pay Scale: $34.12 - $50.29/hour Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 - 3 or more years of experience; $5,000 - less than 3 years of experience. Requirements

  • Associate of Nursing (Required)
  • New York RN (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
  • BLS (Preferred)
  • Nursing: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Emergency Department experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Identifying what patients need and caring for them.
  • Working as a team player and supervising other nursing personnel that reports to you.
  • Keeping neat records and preparing reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff in accordance with quality standards.
  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Having a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families.
  • Using your superb organizational skills when it comes to supplies and equipment.
  • Remaining calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.
