About The Position

An opportunity south near Hays, KS is available for a Registered Nurse seeking a position in the ER Department. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule consisting of 3, 12-hour shifts per week. Rotating weekends are required. The position is set in the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification required by start date
• NRP Certification preferred
• 2+ years of ER experience required

Responsibilities

• Working closely with an EMT or CNA each shift, with support from nurses from neighboring units.
• Assessing the patient on admission in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and unit-specific standards.
• Communicating pertinent patient information and unit information to medical providers, house supervisor, and other appropriate persons while maintaining client confidentiality.
• Administering therapeutic injections, venipuncture, or other IV therapies, performing blood pressure checks, inhalation therapy, catheterization, dressing changes, and other procedures within the scope of nursing practice and as ordered by the provider.
