About The Position

Perform high-acuity renal replacement therapies, including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), across various clinical settings Demonstrate exceptional clinical flexibility by seamlessly integrating into diverse nursing units across the hospital organization, adhering to site-specific protocols while maintaining universal standards of care for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and acute kidney injury (AKI) patients. Expertly manage and monitor various types of vascular access—including tunneled catheters, AV fistulas, and grafts—ensuring strict aseptic technique and troubleshooting mechanical issues to maintain optimal blood flow during treatment. Provide 1-on-1 bedside care during treatments, continuously assessing hemodynamic stability and fluid balance; independently titrate ultrafiltration rates and administer medications based on real-time physiological response and nephrologist orders.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
