About The Position

We are seeking a Surgical RN, a registered nurse who will work in our Ambulatory Surgery department. As a Surgical Nurse, you will specialize the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgery department. Their responsibilities will be for intraoperative care of the surgical procedure. If you are a Registered Nurse with experience in the Operating Room (OR) or Surgery you are encouraged to apply! Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories, current conditions, and any potential risks associated with the procedure Prepare the operating room, which may include setting up equipment, positioning devices, medication, specimens, and/or implants Transfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort of the patient During the procedure, assist the healthcare provider by preparing the patient, organizing supplies and equipment, and providing support as needed, they may also prepare local anesthesia or medications as directed by the provider Maintain knowledgeable of each phase of the peri-operative process and perform safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities
