About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for inpatient Registered Nurses to join our team. Our medical intercare unit offers elbow-to-elbow support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide for our patients! The unit frequently cares for trached vent dependent patients as well as Bipap/CPap rescue needs and Hi Flow O2 delivery systems. We provide supportive, individualized, and tailored orientation.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• AND required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a 42 bed Medical Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients with bedside hemodynamic measuring and telemetry capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse educators, clinical nurse coordinators, and respiratory therapy.
• Support patients requiring continuous O2 monitoring and other respiratory needs.
• Participate in a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.
