We are looking to hire a PRN RN for our Dakota Dunes Urgent Care. As a RN at MercyOne, you will provide medical support to assigned patients by utilizing the nursing process and meeting the established standards within the clinic. You will be accountable for assigned patients, demonstrate understanding of nursing and its issues, and advocate for patient/families and nursing. You will promote and maintain a safe and calm environment for complex patients by ensuring appropriate supplies, equipment, and necessary services. You will assist in making clinical decisions based on scientific principles, systematic approach, and experience. You will administer medications and treatments/procedures as directed, and as appropriate for the patient’s medical care, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team. You will initiate appropriate patient/family education following assessment of learning and discharge needs. You will document nursing intervention and patient/family response accurately, legibly, and in compliance with clinic policies. You will appropriately delegate tasks/procedures to other team members who are prepared/qualified to perform. You will demonstrate the ability to assume a leadership role in emergency/crisis situations.
