About The Position

Saint Luke's East Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Cardiovascular Recovery Unit. Position: Registered Nurse - New Graduate Residency – CVRU Schedule: Full Time, 36 Hours/Week – Days Join a dynamic and collaborative cardiac and critical care team where your expertise and clinical judgement truly make a difference. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures, as well as managing acute and critical diagnoses. The RN functions with a high degree of clinical judgement, accountability, and critical thinking while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Patient Population & Clinical Focus The RN will care for patients with, but not limited to: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) Pacemaker placement Peripheral vascular procedures Interventional radiology (IR) procedures Respiratory failure DKA/insulin drips Post–STEMI recovery Other acute and complex cardiac and critical care diagnoses In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year Applicable Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse - Various
  • Associate Degree
