About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) to provide high-acuity patient care in a critical care environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing complex cardiac cases and adaptable to a rotating shift schedule based on unit needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU experience
- Minimum 18 months of permanent RN experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
- Active RN License (Ohio or Compact State)
- BLS (AHA or equivalent) – Required
- ACLS – Required
- NIHSS Certification – Required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiac patients
- Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, ventilators, and cardiac support devices
- Interpret ECG rhythms and respond to acute changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and advanced cardiac therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
