About The Position

Diagnosis and treatments of human responses to life threatening problems for patients admitted to or transferred into the Critical Care Unit. (Does not include act of Medical diagnoses.) Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and executes prescribed treatments within the scope of nursing practice. Coordinates activities and assures availability of supplies and equipment for safe and efficient patient care. The critical care nurse shall utilize the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.

Requirements

• Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of West Virginia or an appropriate Multi-State License
• Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Successful completion of cardiac rhythm interpretation course or equivalent examination required
• Must complete the competency-based orientation

Nice To Haves

• One year of medical/surgical nursing and/or critical care nursing experience preferred.
