About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Training Program at Intermountain Health is designed for RNs looking to advance their careers in Critical Care nursing. This full-time, 12-week training program combines didactic learning with clinical preceptorship, providing participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in a critical care environment. Successful candidates will be compensated during training and will be eligible for benefits, with a commitment to work for two years post-training.

Requirements

  • Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • ASN/ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain a BSN within four years or 15 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Ability to work all shifts as needed.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with a high volume of patients.
  • Commitment to the 12-week training period uninterrupted.
  • Willingness to sign a commitment to two years of full-time work in the department.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of RN experience, preferably in an acute care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Utilize the nursing process and technology in patient care.
  • Coordinate care with other health team members.
