About The Position

This Float Pool Registered Nurse for the critical care arena (ED, ICU or PACU) opportunity offers a convenient full, part time, or per diem position and offers a flexible schedule. Northern Nevada Health System is a regional multi-facility system that has excelled at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. We have many locations across the region and in our rural communities. Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, is our flagship provider. In addition, patients can receive a variety of outpatient surgical services at Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center.

Requirements

  • Current NV nursing license.
  • Current BLS certificate.
  • ACLS & PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment).
  • At least two years critical care experience in the ED, ICU, or PACU.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care to patients with compassion and respect.
  • Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
  • Willing to float to all units.
