About The Position

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates/residents.
• Execute Licensed Independent Provider's orders and dispense medications.
• Assist Licensed Independent Provider in examinations and treatment of patients.
• Perform technical/clinical procedures within the scope of education and licensure.
• Attend sick calls with the physician and prepare the examining room and equipment.
• Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required.
• Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries.
• Refer inmates/residents to emergency rooms or other healthcare facilities as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and notify the Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders.
• Coordinate professional medical services provided by contract personnel.
