About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a secure correctional facility. This role involves advanced clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care in a structured environment.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certification
- Ability to diagnose, treat, and prescribe within scope of practice
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a correctional healthcare setting
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (medical exemptions only)
- Flu Vaccination: To be confirmed
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and clinical assessments
- Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Accurately document patient evaluations, care plans, and outcomes
- Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate therapies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
