The mission of Anoka County Community Corrections is Working to Build a Safer Community. The department has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse, Correctional Health, who is responsible for providing medical services to individuals housed in a minimum‑security correctional environment (the Anoka County Workhouse). This setting serves adults sentenced to a period of incarceration, many of whom are working in the community or preparing for reentry, creating a unique opportunity to support both individual health and long‑term community safety. In this role, the Correctional Health Nurse delivers direct, patient‑centered care to an incarcerated population, including assessment, triage, medication administration, and management of a wide range of health needs. The nurse collaborates with medical providers, mental health staff, and corrections personnel to ensure continuity of care within the facility. Emphasis is placed on health education and connecting patients with community resources to promote successful reintegration.
