You will coordinate high-quality care for complex, high-acuity patients, applying your clinical expertise in assessment, monitoring, and care planning. Your leadership will help foster a collaborative team culture and promote best practices across the department.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Prior experience in Pre-Op, Post-Op, or Operating Room settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support clinical staff within your service line, serving as a clinical expert and resource.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and exercise sound clinical judgment to develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust care strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and update a core curriculum in partnership with the clinical educator and system education team.
  • Oversee new staff orientation, ongoing staff education, and evaluate training programs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead unit and system-level initiatives to optimize workflow, safety, and patient outcomes.
  • Act as a role model, mentor, and member of the management team, always aligning with the organization’s Mission and Vision.
