About The Position

Coordinate surgical services activities and tasks in support of patient care. Coordinate the clinical patient care of surgical services. Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar patient care duties. Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources. Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance. Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 1- 2 years of experience as an OR nurse strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of main OR operations
