In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Nurse Clinician utilizes evidence-informed practice to provide consultation and clinical expertise to staff, students and patients in medical, surgical or specialized clinic areas. Role models direct care skills to staff and students; performs nursing assessments and ongoing evaluation of patients with complex care needs; evaluates the delivery of nursing care and nursing education including orientation and skill training; provides information and education to staff, patients and/ or families. Participates in research, policy, quality improvement, and risk management activities. The Nurse Clinician performs their duties within a unit, hospital, program, specialized clinic and/or regional focus, and may be required to work at multiple sites across Fraser Health.
