About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Clinical Resource Unit at Good Shepherd Hospital is responsible for leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience using evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making. The nurse delivers and coordinates patient-centered care across the continuum to support the successful transition of patients to other healthcare delivery systems or their home communities. This role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current IL RN license.
  • BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement to enroll in BSN completion program within four years for nurses with less than 12 months of experience.
  • Nurses with more than 12 months experience in direct patient care must possess a BSN or obtain AAH recognized nursing certification within one year.
  • Current AHA CPR certification.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts.
  • Ability to assist in evacuation of patients in emergencies.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting.
  • Certification in a nursing specialty.
