Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care. What you can expect from this role Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift – no nights or weekends! Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts SLCI Meridian, Magnet designated Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance eligible for new hires! Certification pay (ex. OCN) Float between primary RN and triage areas Primary: Evaluate patients and assist the physician with patient care, chemotherapy management, procedures, and care coordination Collaborate and work closely with an interdisciplinary team of providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other disciplines in order to provide excellent patient care Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatments and management Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and lab results, to develop and implement care plans Triage: critical thinking and assessment skills taking triage calls to evaluate patients of all ages receiving treatment Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families
