Job DetailsJob Location: Baton Rouge Bluebonnet - BATON ROUGE, LA 70809Job Category: Health CareRole and Responsibilities Patient Care: Taking and recording vital signs: This includes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration. - Relaying information to MD. Assisting with medical procedures: This might involve assisting with examinations or other procedures. Assessing patient condition: Observing for changes and reporting any concerns to the physician. Providing patient education: Explaining treatments, self-care instructions, and infection precautions. Patient wound care Assisting patients in & out of clinic PRN Bringing patients to clinic room for their appointment Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate patient records: This includes medical histories, treatments, and progress notes, prescriptions, patient education. Entering data into electronic health records (EHRs): Ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. New patient paperwork, Sending/ receiving clearances. Proficient with patient pictures for before & after treatments Pre-op patients including but not limited to: Consent forms, Instructions, Collecting vital signs, Collecting lab work, reviewing and prescribing medications for MD. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with medical staff respectfully. Working with physicians, other nurses, and support staff to coordinate care. Communicating with patients and their families: Explaining procedures, answering questions, phone calls and providing emotional support. Other Responsibilities: Ordering and managing supplies: Ensuring the clinic has the necessary materials for patient care (i.e. garments, medications, supplies). Maintaining a clean and organized work environment: Ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met. Drawing lab work in office Transmitting prescriptions per MD guidance Assisting Nurse Practitioner with injectables (i.e. botox, fillers), taking pictures prior to treatments, topical numbing. Keeping clinic rooms fully stocked throughout the week. Travel to satellite locations as needed to support clinic staffing for MD clinics as well as daily staffing needs Assess, instruct, and prepare patients prior to surgery. Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct. Initiate IV’s and ensure patients are informed about the procedure. Cross train for ambulatory surgery center pre/intra/post operative care. Be knowledgeable to answer any patient phone calls including but not limited to surgery, aesthetics, scheduled, etc. Other duties as assigned. Float Locations include: Baton Rouge, LA Denham Springs, LA Prairieville, LA Hammond, LA QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements Associates or Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing Preferred Education or Experience Preferably experience in a clinic or hospital.
