About the Position POSITION: Registered Nurse - Clinic Float EMPLOYMENT TYPE: .5-.7 FTE (40-56 hours in a pay period) WORK SCHEDULE: Days DEPARTMENT: Clinic Nursing Services Internal Posting Through: 2/26/2026 JOB SUMMARY: 1. Follows the RN process for nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation of care, and evaluation of patient progress. 2. Supervises and acts as a resource to LPN/CMA nursing staff according to Minnesota Nurse Practice Act (NPA). 3. Provides patient and staff education. 4. Delegates as necessary. 5. Performs RN job duties in the clinic as assigned. The following list is not all-inclusive and any other task or job may be assigned in the future. 6. Capable of working as acting charge following established guidelines. 7. Hours and days of work may vary to fill organization's needs according to the contract.

Requirements

  • Maintains current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in providing direct patient care and patient and family education as well as assisting the physician in the delivery of patient care.
  • Has current BLS certification (or is willing to obtain within two months of employment.)
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
  • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinic experience preferred.
