About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license from the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior

Responsibilities

  • Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Perform various treatment procedures and provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, friends, and families.
  • Supervise assigned team members to ensure quality patient care.
  • Develop and document individualized care plans customized for each patient's unique needs.
  • Maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Demonstrate proficient use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for accurate patient and provider documentation and communication.
  • Adhere to required department and system protocols, regulations (local, state, federal), and education requirements.
