About The Position

Coordinates nursing activities and resources within clinical specialty or department. Responsibilities Coordinates staff scheduling and educational/development activities. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care. Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of quality assurance and/or improvement initiatives. Serves as resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures. Monitors departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements. Directs the work flow and guides the clinical process of therapist, assistants, technicians and clerical staff. Assists in Human Resource management through involvement in the processes of interviewing, orienting, counseling issues and performance evaluations. Serves as a leader in program development. Facilitates program improvement through the performance assessment and improvement process. Updates policy and procedures and assists manager in development of new policies. Monitors and facilitates financial transactions of assigned program to ensure cost effective delivery of quality care and services. Provides input into the annual budgetary process.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Three (3) years related experience.
  • Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association and others as required by individual department.
  • National certification in clinical specialty as defined in the addendums.

  • BSN, Bachelor (BS,BA) in related field
  • One (1) year supervisory/leadership.
