About The Position

Coordinates functions and activities related to a single departmental function. Position is responsible for a clinic unit. Position coordinates the scheduling efforts of the unit RN's. Acts as liaison person to internal and external customers (i.e., pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, hospital administration). Responsible for developing and implementing plans/processes for meeting regulatory requirements. Trains and mentors staff. The Charge RN must be able to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will apply good interpersonal and communication process utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve organizational service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment. The position requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the surgeon, patients, and staff. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Requirements

Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
Two years relevant clinical nursing experience
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona
CPR
ACLS as applicable by Facility/by Department: ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D: ACLS required upon orientation completion. ER: PALS or ENPC required or must obtain within ninety days PACU: ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire, PALS preferred. Post-partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP required upon orientation completion. Bariatrics: Certification or specialized training in bariatrics specialty area of practice. Wound Care: Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care and/or Ostomy Care.
L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
