About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar City InstaCare is a licensed professional caregiver responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This role is pivotal within the care delivery team, which is led by a physician, and requires specialized knowledge and skills pertinent to the needs of ambulatory care patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process, which includes technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other health team members. The position is PRN (as needed), with no budgeted hours, and requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, as necessary. In this role, the RN will perform thorough assessments of patients' physical, social, and psychological statuses, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to gather comprehensive information. The RN will develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and critical thinking, actively involving patients and their families in the planning process. Implementation of care involves directing the interdisciplinary team through effective delegation and collaboration, while evaluation of patient responses to interventions is crucial for revising care plans as needed. Professional development is also a key component of this position, as the RN is expected to promote the nursing profession, participate in the development of others, and adhere to legal and ethical standards in practice. The RN will engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes. This position requires a commitment to ongoing education and competency in clinical procedures relevant to the RN's practice setting.
