About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team. The bedside Vascular Access RN assesses patients for appropriateness of vascular access devices for enhanced or prolonged intravenous (IV) access. Works collaboratively with providers, nurses, and patients to develop a patient centered plan for infusion therapy considering post-discharge needs. Requirements

  • Current RN Pennsylvania state license required
  • Current BCLS required or obtained by completion of orientation
  • ACLS required or obtained by completion of orientation if Applicable to Area of Practice
  • 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience required, preferably in ICU or Stepdown
  • TIER II - 48 hour minimum commitment per 4 week schedule
  • 2 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
  • 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
  • 1 spring/summer holiday (Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day)
  • Holiday: 1 ½ times the hourly shift rate

Nice To Haves

  • Prior vascular access experience preferred
  • CRNI certification preferred
