Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory – Registered Nurse 3 Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory suites perform cardiac catheterization procedures, permanent pacemaker implants, AICD implants, Electrophysiology studies, ablation procedures, and carotid stenting. 13 bay pre/post patient care area. Perform TEE and cardioversion procedures. Orientation is a 16 week to 6-month orientation to all aspects of the department. Each staff member participates in the on-call rotation. Nursing care delivered to adults 18 years or older. No pediatric procedures. Part time (40 hours biweekly). Shift: Monday–Friday; 10-hour day. Eligible for shift and weekend differential. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing and coordinating the care of patients through the use of the nursing process: assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. Included is recognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
