About The Position

This position performs patient assessment and follows established standards and practices for nursing care. This position may delegate responsibilities and provide clinical oversight to other unlicensed nursing staff. This position may be required to work in other areas according to skill of staff and acuity of patients. This position provides exceptional service to all patients and customers.
This position works under the supervision of the Director or Practice Manager and under the direction of the provider and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing required. BSN is preferred.
• All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable.
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure, licensed in State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required within 90 days.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support IF working in an inpatient area in which ACLS is required.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and prepares patient for provider examination and treatment.
• Performs general nursing care to patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Assists provider with procedures and properly maintains equipment before and after procedures.
• Engages in patient/family teaching to achieve the desired patient outcome.
• Review medical charts for completeness.
• Documents all medications, refills, telephone conversations and patient visits in the medical record.
• Other duties as assigned
