About The Position

The Cardiac Catheterization RN is a registered nurse with advanced training and knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular system. A Cath Lab nurse performs a variety of duties may include but not limited to; circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited nursing program preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Minimum of one year Cath Lab experience is preferred.
• IABP, Angiojet and IVUS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and x-ray equipment preferred.
• Current California RN license and BLS required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change.
• Basic dysrhythmia within 120 days of hire or status change.

• RCIS preferred.

Responsibilities
