About The Position

The Registered Nurse Casual in the Emergency Department collaborates with physicians to provide a comprehensive plan of care aimed at returning patients to optimal health. This role involves providing bedside nursing care, executing medical orders, and overseeing the functions of various support staff including Nurse Assistants and Patient Care Associates. The nurse is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and ensuring that patient needs are met throughout their care journey.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice in the state of Michigan.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross Certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Completion of Neuroscience course.
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course.
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Certification).
• ENPC certification.
• One year of Emergency Department experience.

Nice To Haves

• Critical Care Nurse certification preferred.

Responsibilities
