About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular position is located at the Gainesville CVICU, specifically in the Ronnie Green Heart Center on the 2nd floor. The job involves caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those undergoing cardiovascular surgery, vascular procedures, ECMO, VAD, and CRRT. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2, and the position requires managing patients post-open heart surgery for 24 to 48 hours.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid RN license (Compact Accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of CV-ICU experience.
• 2 years of Critical Care/ICU experience.
• Certifications: BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, CERT-NIH Stroke Scale.

Nice To Haves

• Previous travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
