This Surgical Services unit functions within Bloomington Hospital, where we have 14 operating rooms and 2 open-heart rooms. The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nurse functions as an integral member of the cardiovascular surgery team, providing circulating support for a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures and assisting with anesthesia care specific to complex cardiac and vascular cases. The CVOR team manages a broad and diverse case mix, requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. In addition to CVOR responsibilities, this nurse is required to circulate in the main operating room and participate in service line rotations including gynecology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and vascular surgery. This role also includes ensuring adherence to safety standards, efficiency, and high-quality patient care across all assigned specialties Shift Requirements (CVOR): Variety of shifts available! In addition, the CVOR team is on call every 3 rd weekend and 2-3-days throughout the week. Candidates must be able to be at the Bloomington facility within 30 minutes of on-call notice. Nursing skills gained on this unit: Circulator RN experience Develop phenomenal procedural skills Understand the world of surgical services from Pre/Post, OR room, Endo, PACU, and more Refine time management skills

Requirements

• Requires 1+ years of clinical RN experience
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
