About The Position

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. This is a full-time role with night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, including rotating weekends. The nurse will independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a specific patient population, utilizing the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The role also involves guiding unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborating with healthcare team members, and contributing to safety outcomes and high-quality patient experiences.

Requirements

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required.
• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required.
• Prior nursing experience or CNA experience preferred for new graduate nurses.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote a high-quality patient experience.
